Profile
We teach what we most need to learn and this is true for me and breathwork.
Adoption, attachment disruption and pre-verbal trauma had taught me a great deal about the relationship between the body and safety, but it was a breast cancer diagnosis in 2024 that led me to formal breathwork training. By the time I found this work, I’d spent many years overstimulated, running on fight/flight and collapsing into numbness by evening. I had a nervous system that didn’t know how to settle gently. The breath changed that for me in a steady, practical and discernible way, giving me a way out of burnout and a clear path back into the body.
For me, the breath is a universal language, free from dogma and open to all. My practice honours every path, offering a customised doorway into the body whether you are guided by science, spirit or simple curiosity.
I offer personalised one-to-one breathwork sessions, working with the anatomy and physiology of breathing (it’s hard to take a deep breath if your ribcage doesn’t flex properly) alongside nervous system science and trauma-informed practice. I’m particularly drawn to working with people navigating adoption, pre-verbal trauma, chronic illness, burnout and body dissociation. I resonate deeply with those for whom the body has not always felt like a safe place to return to.
I hold a deep awareness of safety. As a result, I don’t push and I don’t chase catharsis for its own sake. What I’m interested in is the slow, careful building of enough safety to begin listening again, and then integration so that you understand what’s surfaced in a session and how to work with it in ordinary life.
Sessions are available in 75-minute and 90-minute formats, in person and online. I’m committed to making this work accessible and offer bursary places for those experiencing financial hardship. Please reach out confidentially if that’s relevant to you.
I run free weekly online group breathwork sessions on a Wednesday: https://www.thisbeautifulbreath.com/group-breathwork
My background spans over 20 years in corporate leadership, alongside ongoing study in attachment theory, nervous system science and trauma-informed approaches. I also hold qualifications in nutrition and personal training.
